| My name is Kaytee and I am a farmer's
daughter from the Transvaal. The whole family works the farm, but
it is still a struggle to earn a living on the hard and dry land my father
owns. So I have taken to earning some extra money by fighting at
town shows and farming events outside our locality. Pieter is my manager and the guy who organises the fights. He is also a right bastard. He pays me a pittance of what he earns from the events and even makes me pay my own doctor's fees. I hate him, but have little choice as he is the only guy that does this sort of thing is this part of the country. My last outing was to an event in a town about 30 miles away in Valkraken County. It took me almost two days to get there walking and getting rides from passing farmers. I arrived just as the sun was setting only a couple of hours before the event was due to start.... |
