On a secluded part of the same island, as the sun was setting for the evening, Lady Lydia stood in a circular ring enclosure at the invitation of a young French couple.  Elizabeth Deveraux and her husband Felipe, who were only very recently married, had heard via translation that there was a young titled English gentlewoman amongst the islands who fought other woman.  From the translation they had gotten the impression that this Duchess was an overconfident pushover and easy pickings to win gold.  So Felipe quickly made the appropriate contacts, and the fight was set.
