Continued from part 2:
A couple of weeks had past since the match between Avril and Brendan,
but I had still not heard the results of the blood test on Avril.
I was fairly sure she had been drugged in the last session of the match, but
without the blood results I could not confront the organisers of the
event with my suspicions.
Then I was hired to referee a mixed match the next Saturday night at the
Circuit and when I looked at the program I saw that the male fighter was
Brendan. So I determined to look out for anything abnormal in the
way this match was staged. |
